1. Create Mailing lists
In the Email Marketing module,
Go to Mailing Lists > Mailing Lists,
Click Create
Give a name to the list, enable the option Is Public to make the list visible for users when unsubscribing. Then, click Create
Once the mailing list is created, you can add contacts in the lists by 2 methods:
a. Manually add contacts by clicking on Create.
b. Import a list of contacts if you already have.
Step 1: Download and fill in this template
Step 2: Import file
Step 2.1: In the Mailing lists, click to the list that you want to add contacts
Step 2.2: Inside the list, click Favorites > Import records
Step 2.3: Click Load File
Step 2.4: Choose the filled template to upload from your computer.
Step 2.5: Click Test to check if the data is valid.
Step 2.6: Click Import if everything is ready.
2. Email Marketing
To start drafting your email, go to Mailings
Click Create
2.1. Fill in the Subject of the email, Preview Text to setup the text for previewing.
2.2. Choose the Recipients:
-> From the Mailing List that you created in Part 1. Multiple mailing lists can be selected.
-> From your Mailing Contact, regardless the mailing list they are on. You can use filters to shorten the recipient list. Multiple filters can be applied.
-> From your Lead/Opportunity list. The same filter rule can be utilized.
2.3. In the Mail Body tab,
Choose Plain text to start with text-only template
Or choose the Thank you email template to use a more dynamic functions.
Use the tool bar to design and format your mail body
For Text-type template:

2.4. In the Dynamic Placeholder Generator, you can find the expression of related field from your recipient list to add in your email body.
For example, to add the name of the recipient to the email:
In the Field section, choose Display Name
Copy the text in the Placeholder section
Paste it to the email body
When the email is sent out, it should look like this
2.5. In Settings tab
- Responsible: assign a person to be in charge of this mailing
- Send from: set an email address that this email is sent from
- Reply to: set an email address that recipients will reply to
- Attachments: upload file that you want to attach to the email
2.6. Action buttons
- Click Save to save the record.
- Click Send to send out this email instantly.
- Click Schedule to set the time to send out the email.
Choose the date and time. Click Schedule.
- Click Test to send a sample email to a specific email address for testing.
Fill the email address. Click Send sample email.
